Greetings, parents and students!
My name is Eric Curth and I am a 12th grade Language Arts teacher at Olympus High School in Orlando, FL. I graduated from Florida State with a degree in English Education, and with a minor in Creative Writing. Go Noles! I am a huge dog lover (as you can see to the right), and am a parent to my two dogs, Jax and Bailey. Hiking, kayaking, and biking are just a couple of the physical activities that I love to do to stay in shape!
I am extremely passionate about literature, as I have been teaching English courses for almost a decade now. Ever since I was a child, reading books and watching films captivated my attention. These stories transport us into other worlds, where the possibilities are endless!
Some of my favorite books include...
- Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
- 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell
- The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
- The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Some of my favorite movies include...
- Star Wars Series
- Marvel Films
- Gladiator
- Aliens
- La La Land
- 500 Days of Summer
Everyone loves a good story, and I want to help teach the next generation of great storytellers. I am beyond thrilled to be a teacher at Olympus High, and am grateful for the opportunity to face each day head on. I am here to support my students and families, so do not hesitate to communicate with me about anything!
